ABBA reveals they will never perform live or make any new music again

ABBA fans worldwide were over the moon last year when the Swedish superstars reunited for their first new album in 40 years.

However, sadly, the album marks the beginning of the end for the group, rather than a new chapter.

Speaking to The Sun about the band's reunion and upcoming Voyage shows, Björn Ulvaeus said that the group was effectively over once more.

Agnetha Fältskog, Anni-Frid Lyngstad, Benny Andersson and Ulvaeus will reunite for the final time at their groundbreaking concert residency before passing on the baton to their digital Abbatars.

There will be no more group appearances, no more new music and certainly no more live performances for the real musicians.

He said: "When you do a thing like that, you don't know how people will receive it. It was with such pride that we released that album.

"I don't think there will be any more music with ABBA ... that was definitely our last album."

When questioned over whether reclusive Lyngstad and Fältskog, who has a crippling fear of flying, would make the premiere of the Voyage shows, the 77-year-old confirmed they would be there.

"Yes. It will be so special, we are all gearing up for it. Frida saw a preview and Agnetha hasn’t seen it yet. We are going to enjoy the show together with lots and lots of fans. We just want to sit back and enjoy it," he told the publication.

The group went their separate ways in 1982 at the height of their career.
