Anna Grimaldi has won New Zealand's 11th medal of the Tokyo Paralympics after claiming gold in the women's T47 long jump this afternoon.

Achieving a new paralympic record and a back-to-back gold medal, the 24-year-old led things from start to finish - with no one else beating her first effort of 5.74m.

She improved to 5.76m, which was more than enough for a second Paralympic gold.

Grimaldi's jump was 14cm longer than her winning mark in Rio five years ago, and 9cm clear of silver medallist Aleksandra Moguchaia from ROC.

Kiara Rodriguez, of Ecuador, nabbed bronze with a 5.63m effort.

Congratulations Anna!
