This one's for all the lovers and dreamers ...

Barbra Streisand has teamed up with Kermit the Frog for one truly beautiful cover of the classic Muppets hit 'Rainbow Connection.'

Produced by Streisand, the song takes Kermit's vocals - as voiced by Muppet's creator Jim Henson - and pairs them with Streisand's recording from 1979 which was intended for her album Wet, but was cut due to lack of space on the vinyl LP.

"The opportunity to duet with a legend like Kermit was irresistible," the legendary singer said in a statement. "I think of him as ageless and ever-GREEN!"

The duet will feature on her upcoming 10-track album Release Me 2.

Along with 'Rainbow Connection', Release Me 2 will also feature a version of 'If Only You Were Mine' with Barry Gibb (a possible bonus cut for 2005’s Guilty Pleasure), an interpretation of Carole King's 'You Light Up My Life' (recorded for 1974’s Butterfly), and a version of Randy Newman's 'Living Without You' (one of four Newman songs originally recorded for 1971’s Stoney End).

Release Me 2 is out August 6.
