Billie Lourd made sure her mother Carrie Fisher's force was with her on her wedding day.

Over the weekend, the 29-year-old tied the knot with Austen Rydell in an intimate ceremony in Cabo San Lucas, Mexico.

Looking as graceful as, Lourd wore a custom off-the-shoulder Rodarte dress that held significant meaning to the actress.

Speaking to Vogue, Lourd revealed that she chose to wear a gown created by Rodarte designers Kate and Laura Mulleavy because of their connection to her late mother.

"I discovered Kate and Laura after they interviewed my mum for an article in 2014 and immediately fell in love," Billie explained. "So when I started thinking about who I wanted to design my wedding dress, they were the first people who came to mind."

Praising the duo's "elegant, ethereal, unique style," she continued, "I also felt a strong connection to them because of their connection to my mum."

Lourd paired her wedding dress with René Mancini shoes gifted from her father, Bryan Lourd. According to the Booksmart actress, her dad was out shopping one day and the heels caught his eye because they "reminded him of the shoes my mum used to wear in the '90s."

As for jewellery, Lourd wore her mother's fire opal ring as her "something blue" alongside her engagement ring from Rydell, which features a diamond that Rydell had reset from the ring her dad proposed to the Star Wars icon with.

Fisher passed away at 60 years old on December 27, 2016, of cardiac arrest after becoming unresponsive on a flight.

The following day her mother Debbie Reynolds died of a stroke.
