Coronavirus: New Zealand has 9 new cases of Covid-19 and one person in ICU

Today New Zealand has nine new cases of COVID-19 - bringing the total number of cases in New Zealand to 1,470, reports the Ministry of Health.

That is made up of four new confirmed cases and five new probable cases.

There are 7 people in hospital, including one in ICU in Middlemore Hospital.

There are no new deaths today. The death toll remains at 18, including 10 from the Rosewood cluster.

The number of people who have recovered from COVID-19 is up to 1,142 - up 24 on yesterday's number.

This means 78 per cent of all confirmed and probable cases are now recovered.

On Monday at 11.59pm, the country will be lifted out of lockdown and move into alert level 3.
