Coronavirus: New Zealand has no new cases of coronavirus for the fourth day in a row

Today New Zealand has no new cases of COVID-19 says Director-General of Health Ashley Bloomfield.

The total number of confirmed and probable cases since the pandemic began sits at 1503.

The total of confirmed cases is 1,153.

There are no new deaths today.

The death toll remains at 21, including 12 from the Rosewood cluster.

There is one person in hospital.

A total of 1,452 people reported as having recovered from Covid-19 - an increase of five from yesterday.

This means 97 per cent of all confirmed and probable cases are now recovered.

Yesterday Prime Minister Jacinda Ardern revealed that the Government intends to continue to phase in more activity in alert level 2.

Ardern said Covid-19 is still in the community and the country needs to be careful as it heads down the alert levels.
