Coronavirus: New Zealand has no new cases of COVID-19 for the third day straight

Today New Zealand has no new cases of COVID-19 - leaving the total number of cases in New Zealand at 1,497, the Ministry of Health has announced.

The total of confirmed cases is 1,147.

There are no new deaths today.

The death toll remains at 21, including 12 from the Rosewood cluster.

There are two people in hospital, none of whom are in ICU.

The number of people who have recovered from COVID-19 is up to 1,411 - up 9 on yesterday's number.

This means 94 per cent of all confirmed and probable cases are now recovered.

New Zealand has moved into alert level 2, with cafes and malls allowed to open. Schools can resume from Monday.
