Hilary Barry, the woman who singlehandedly kept New Zealanders from slumping on the sofa in their pyjamas in lockdown, is entertaining fans once again after bringing back lockdown "Formal Friday".

Announcing the news on Instagram yesterday, she wrote: "Only one more sleep until Formal Friday!!"

Treating fans today, the much-loved TV presenter donned a gold sequin gown and her iconic tiara.

She could also be seen holding a bowl of lemons and a whisk.

Alongside the picture, the 51-year-old cheekily wrote: "Found my sparkle. Now it’s time to find yours."

Barry launched the "Formal Friday" trend last year, which went viral when she posted a photo of herself in a gown while working from home at the start of the first level 4 lockdown in March 2020.
