The Duchess of Cambridge wowed royal fans again this week as she made her 2022 Royal Ascot debut with Prince William.

Leading the royal family in the traditional carriage procession at the Berkshire racecourse, Kate Middleton used her outfit to pay a sweet tribute to her late mother-in-law, Princess Diana.

The Duchess donned a gorgeous £1,970 Alessandra Rich brown and white polka dot dress - which almost perfectly mirrored an outfit Diana wore to Ascot in June 1988.

The mother-of-three also opted for a large, flat-top hat by Sally-Ann Provan, as Diana had at the very same event three decades earlier.

While she accessorised with South-Sea pearl earrings that once belonged to the People's Princess.

The sweet nod to Diana came as the Cambridges attended Royal Ascot for the first time since 2019.

The beloved princess died at the age of 36 when the car she was travelling in crashed in a Paris tunnel on August 31, 1997.

Prince William was 15-years-old at the time.
