Lily Collins is showering her famous father, Phil Collins, with love after his final ever live show.

Earlier this week, the Emily in Paris star took to social media to pen an emotional tribute to her rockstar dad after he announced that he was quitting live music for good due to his deteriorating health.

"Endlessly grateful doesn’t begin to do it justice. So much love was left on that O2 stage and an even bigger amount shared between an audience who didn’t want it to end.

"Thank you @genesis_band for the memories, thank you dad for being such an inspiration and thank you @nic_collins for making me the proudest sister there is," she added.

"50 years of songs later and still generations more to celebrate you long after this tour has finished …"

Collins essentially retired from playing the drums in concert in 2009 after he suffered nerve damage in his hands following a dislocated vertebra in his upper neck, making it impossible for him to play or even stand on his own for long periods of time.

He's since left drum duties to his son Nic Collins and has performed seated for all of his recent shows.

Lily is the third eldest of the British hitmaker's five children from three marriages.
