Alright, alright, alright ...

While it may have been 42 years since the King of Rock and Roll tragically passed away after suffering a heart attack, Elvis is set to get his very own cartoon!

And it has just been revealed Matthew McConaughey will be voicing the late legend in the adult action-comedy animated series.

The Netflix series, called Agent King, is co-created by Priscilla Presley and will reportedly follow Elvis as he moonlights as a secret government agent while still touring America as a musician.

The synopsis reads: "Elvis Presley trades in his white jumpsuit for a jet pack when he is covertly inducted into a secret government spy program to help battle the dark forces that threaten the country he loves — all while holding down his day job as the King of Rock and Roll."

When announcing the new series, Priscilla stated: "From the time Elvis was a young boy he always dreamed of being the superhero fighting crime and saving the world! Agent King lets him do just that.

"My co-creator John Eddie and I are so excited to be working with Netflix and Sony Animation on this amazing project and getting the chance to show the world an Elvis they haven’t seen before."

There's no word on when the series will hit our screens.

Agent King hits the platform in March.
