For the past few years, Mick Fleetwood has made it no secret he wanted to get all the original Fleetwood Mac members back together for a proper farewell tour.

However, following the tragic death of Christine McVie, aged 79, Fleetwood now says such a reunion is "unthinkable."

Speaking to reporters on the Grammy Awards red carpet, the drummer revealed he thinks the legendary band is "done".

"I think right now, I truly think the line in the sand has been drawn with the loss of Chris," Fleetwood said.

"I'd say we're done, but then we've all said that before. It's sort of unthinkable right now."

Fleetwood said he plans to still perform in the future, but "not as Fleetwood Mac".

McVie passed away "peacefully" on November 30, 2022, following a short illness.

McVie is best known for writing and singing some of their band's biggest hits, including 'Don't Stop,' 'Little Lies,' 'Say You Love Me,' and 'You Make Loving Fun.'

As well as working with Fleetwood Mac, McVie also released three solo albums.

In 1998, she was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame as a member of Fleetwood Mac.
