Naomi Campbell welcomes her first child at 50 in surprise Instagram post

Congratulations are in order for Naomi Campbell!

The supermodel has just become a mother after welcoming her baby girl into the world.

Taking to Instagram, the 50-year-old announced the news by sharing a photo of her hand holding the newborn's feet.

Alongside the picture, she wrote: "A beautiful little blessing has chosen me to be her mother, so honoured to have this gentle soul in my life there are no words to describe the lifelong bond that I now share with you my angel. There is no greater love."

Campbell's spokesperson declined to provide more information.

In 2017, Campbell spoke about her desire to be a mother.

"I think about having children all the time," she told the Evening Standard. "But now with the way science is, I think I can do it when I want."
