Prince William and Kate Middleton are reportedly hitting the pause button on their royal duties - and it's all in the name of family.

The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge have been extremely busy over recent weeks with numerous royal engagements following Prince Harry and Meghan Markle's decision to quit as senior members of the royal family.

But the couple - who have kids Prince George, six, Princess Charlotte, four, and 21-month-old Prince Louis - have decided to take a short break during February, in order to spend more time with their kids.

As George and his sister will be on half-term break from Thomas's Battersea school in London between February 17 and February 21, the famous family will be taking a vacation together.

In the summer of 2019, the Cambridges travelled to Mustique, a private island in Saint Vincent and the Grenadines, for their half-term break and according to reports the family could be set to make a return visit.

"George, Charlotte and Louis love visiting the island and due to the privacy regulations it's one of the few places where they can switch off and have the space and freedom to spend quality time as a family," a royal insider revealed.

"They’re staying in a gorgeous 10 bedroom house so there’s plenty of room for guests. The pad is certainly fit for a king and comes with an infinity pool, spa area, huge garden, fully equipped gym and a private chef."

Meanwhile, Harry and Meghan are set to axe 15 members of their UK staff.

The decision to close their office in Buckingham Palace comes amid speculation they plan to spend the majority of their time in North America.
