Rod Stewart has been off the road since the pandemic shut down his Las Vegas residency and world tour plans last year, but he kept himself busy during the forced downtime, rekindling his strong love of songwriting.

For the first time in three years, the legendary rocker has a new album out, titled The Tears of Hercules, and the project is particularly close to Stewart's heart.

One of the songs, 'Touchline,' is dedicated to his father, who taught him and his brothers to love football - a tradition the 76-year-old singer has passed down to his own sons.

In the album's sleeve note, Stewart says he's proud of the album.

"I've never said this before about any previous efforts, but I believe this is by far my best album in many a year," he writes.

Tears Of Hercules features 12 new songs all written by Stewart and is out now!
