As soon as Daniel Craig announced his retirement from the James Bond franchise, fans began speculating on who his successor might be.

Actors like Idris Elba, Tom Hardy, Luke Evans, Henry Cavill and Regé-Jean Page have all been rumoured as possibilities to play the coveted role of 007.

And now Taron Egerton's name has been thrown in the mix of potential actors who could take over as the secret agent.

However, the Rocket Man star doesn't think he's the "right choice" to play Bond.

Speaking in a recent interview with The Telegraph, the 33-year-old addressed the rumours, saying: "I don’t think I’m the right choice for it. You have to be consistently statuesque to be that guy… I’ve always struggled with my weight."

Although he went on to admit that being Bond might be "really fun," he added: "It's sort of irrelevant how I feel about it, anyway, because I can tell you there have been zero phone calls."

We think he'd make a great James Bond!
