Following the success of Bohemian Rhapsody and Rocketman, a Bob Marley biopic is on the way!

And now director Reinaldo Marcus Green has found his Bob!

British actor Kingsley Ben-Adir will be taking on the role of the reggae icon in the upcoming biopic.

The 35-year-old has recently appeared in Peaky Blinders, Noelle and One Night in Miami.

Paramount reportedly selected him to portray the legendary singer after the studio spent a year searching the globe for the right actor to play what has been considered one of the most coveted roles of the past year.

While Paramount has not yet revealed what the Marley film will cover, it is believed that it will likely track his career as a pioneer of the reggae genre and his subsequent rise of success as a global music phenomenon.

The film has received the blessing of the Bob Marley estate, as Bob's wife Rita and two of his children – Ziggy and Cedella – are among its producers.

Marley died in 1981 of cancer.
