The Chase reveals a brand new Chaser will be filling in on upcoming episodes of the show

The Chase has The Dark Destroyer, The Beast, The Governess, The Vixen, The Menace and The Sinnerman, but soon a new Chaser will be making his debut on the UK quiz show ...

Australian-born Issa Schultz is due to step in for an unnamed Chaser who is reportedly unavailable for filming.

The 38-year-old - who is dubbed The Supernerd on the Australian version of the show - will film part of the next series, which begins recording today.

It appears to be a dream come true for Schultz, who two years ago revealed he had high hopes to appear on an overseas version of The Chase.

He told the Daily Telegraph in 2019: "I would never leave the Australian version because I love it, it would be to do in addition."

The eight-time winner of the Australian Quizzing Championships has also appeared on Who Wants To Be A Millionaire and The Einstein Factor - using his smarts across a wide range of TV.

We can't wait to see him in action on New Zealand television screens.
