The Halloween spirit certainly got into a few people's music taste as Michael Jackson's 1982 smash, "Thriller" re-entered the Billboard chats at number 44.

The song originally reached number 4 on the Top 100 charts in 1984 in the United States, and number 6 in New Zealand, whilst the "Thriller" album is currently the second-highest selling album of all time.

"Thriller" soared by 200% to 9,000 units sold and by 136% to 13.3 million U.S. streams in the Oct. 25-31 tracking week, according to Nielsen Music. Those metrics spur the track's return to both Digital Song Sales (No. 11) and streaming (No. 44).

The spooky classic is most memorable for its music video, which stars the young King of Pop watching a scary movie with his date that pales in comparison to the freaky choreography he gets into with his fellow ghouls and zombies.

Ray Parker Jr's "Ghostbusters" also saw Halloween growth, with 6,000 unit sales up 190%.
