The Chase contestant goes viral after viewers claim he looks like Coronation Street's Roy Cropper

The Chase viewers were left doing a double take during a recent episode of the popular game show.

As Andrew went head-to-head with Paul "The Sinnerman" Sinha, fans of the show couldn't help but notice the hopeful contestant looked exactly like much loved Coronation Street character, Roy Cropper.

After racking up an impressive £8,000 in his Cash Builder round, viewers flocked to social media to comment on the accountant's apparent resemblance to the Corrie veteran, who's played by David Neilson.

"Is that Roy Cropper in seat 1? #TheChase," one user wrote on Twitter.
