We all love a good optical illusion ... but this latest video has left our minds truly boggled!

The clip - which has gone viral after being shared on social media - features a simple 3D printed arrow that can’t point left, no matter which way the user turns it.

And boy does it leave you scratching your head!

Designed by mathematician and sculptor Kokichi Sugihara, the illusion relies on gentle curves on the arrow's surface to mislead the brain.

Sugihara specialises in creating spatial illusions that use variations in perspective and optics to manipulate our impression of the objects’ shapes.
