Gloriavale Breaks Record for 2016

Gloriavale: A Woman's Place has become the highest rating programme on TV2 this year.

429,000 Kiwis tuned into watch the documentary special, which focussed on women's roles in the isolated West Coast Christian community.

That made it the top-rating show for TV2 this year and the 17th most-watched overall. The top 16 shows have all screened on TV One.

A Woman's Place centred on the story of Dove Love as she prepared to marry 17-year-old Watchful Steadfast.

The end of the programme featured Love singing an original song to her husband, written especially for the occasion.

A music video of the song has been viewed more than 170,000 times on Facebook.
